Careening, twisting down the hall,

quickly gaining power,

free just like a Maccabee,

she spun for half an hour!

She tangoed with the music box,

hopped over Sara’s toes,

swiftly swerved by Uncle Irv,

and tipped some dominoes.

She cruised around the basset hound,

zipped underneath the cat.

Through the kitchen, up the stairs,

toward the tub—kersplat!

Tizzy rode the hamster wheel

and plinked piano keys.

Though everyone was chasing her,

she dodged them all with ease.

She clicked on the computer . . .

went racing through the den . . .

skated on the frying pan . . .

did figure eights till ten.
